Game Structure

The game is broken down into three different phases, based around a community project, or Milestone. After character and enclave creation, you start the game with your first committee meeting.

Organizing

Organizing is the main phase of the game. During this time, the enclave as a whole will work towards the current milestone. When you’re ready, the organizer chooses an enclave action to advance towards the milestone and rolls.

Committee Meeting

The first phase is the committee meeting. As a group, you decide on an aspect of the enclave you want to improve, and choose one of its milestones. The enclave as a whole, supported by the characters as individuals, will work towards this milestone in the organizing phase. Finally, decide on your first organizer—they decide on enclave actions during this cycle and roll the dice for enclave actions. see Milestones (pg XX)

Organizing Actions

The enclave action roll determines how much progress is made towards the milestone—and any trouble that arises. Some trouble will lead to an encounter—a zoomed in action scene, where the PCs take action to counter, overcome, or fix the trouble that arose. see Enclave Actions (pg XX)

Encounters

Encounters can take several forms: environmental problems related to the project (a fire, for instance), exploration (to gather, scavenge, forage, and trade for needed resources), strife (internal social conflict within the enclave), and, if things go very poorly, a raid by Dominion forces. Once the encounter has been concluded, you move back into the main organizing phase, and the organizer makes another enclave action. see Encounters (pg XX)

Downtime

Once the enclave has completed the project and reached the milestone, through several enclave actions and encounters, you mark the milestone on the enclave sheet, and move into downtime. During downtime, you recover your spirit, heal from any injuries, and work on you crafting projects, such as upgrading you gear and making consumables. Each character gets a couple or more downtime actions. After these rolls are made and resolved, move back into another committee meeting, choosing the next milestone to work towards and choosing a new organizer. see Downtime (pg XX)
